Once you know you wish to purchase NeuroCARE®, there are several choices available to you.

One is- should you go with an all-inclusive bundle which includes a laptop, or provide your own computer?

The easiest, no question, is to purchase a bundle. The bundles contain everything you need from the laptop down to sensors and paste, ready for you to start running NeuroCARE® immediately. With the additon of Sue’s DVD “Getting Started” which shows you how to connect up your equipment, how to do a hookup and the basics of how to run a session (currently featuring 1.95) and a PASS™ membership,  you can immediately get the information you need to become comfortable in the shortest amount of time. NeuroCARE® itself is remarkably simple to use- you do not need specialized knowledge to run effective sessions. Most  trainers, for example, are skilled in areas quite separate from the psychophysiological roots of NeuroCARE®.

If you go with a bundle, you are choosing between:

• NeuroCARE® Professional or REmote™ (and unless you are purchasing through a trainer with whom you will continue to work, it will be NeuroCARE® Professional);

• a premium or mid-range laptop and

• an Infiniti™ or ProComp2® encoder.

Our most commonly chosen bundle is the Select, which is a mid-range laptop with a ProComp2 encoder, all of which does the job very well.

On the other hand, if you wish to provide your own laptop, you first need to make sure that the laptop or computer you are using or purchasing can run NeuroCARE® efficiently (see “Computer” on the left for more information on this topic). The newer and more powerful the system, in general, the more likely it will support NeuroCARE®.

Many who have a laptop still prefer to purchase a pre-configured one from us, which they then keep exclusively for NeuroCARE® use. Especially if you wish to have a NeuroCARE® practice, you will want to be sure your system does not get into difficulties because your kids have tried to run games on it, or used it to communicate with buddies when damaging softwares can inadvertently get loaded onto it. Anything that contaminates your system or that competes with NeuroCARE® for ports and so on (such as gaming) can quickly become a headache when trying to run sessions.
