The NeuroCARE® Neurofeedback System Difference

The NeuroCARE® neurofedback system was created from a fundamentally different viewpoint than were other systems. Understanding those differences will help you know whether the NeuroCARE® neurofeedback system is for you, or whether you are better suited to a different system.

Other Neurofeedback Systems:

The way most neurofeedback systems work is that first the neurofeedback practitioner needs to make a diagnosis. That diagnosis will determine what your brain will be told to do. The diagnosis can be by disorder, when the neurofeedback practitioner will utilize a particular protocol to train your brain, or by via a static evaluation of your brain, when a "picture" is taken of your brain and what frequencies it is producing to what degree in what location. This one brief "slice of time" is then used to direct training over subsequent weeks or months. Or diagnosis is made through evaulation of behavior and/or extensive review of past history. Needless to say, this is time consuming and expensive at the very least. It also relies upon the wisdom and experience of the clinician to direct the treatment.

So in one manner or another, the brain or client is diagnosed as having a particular problem which is then “treated”. This is usually done by training a small selection of frequencies in certain locations, up or down. So the feedback is used by the client to learn to produce more or less of these frequencies in the particular locations. Typically, the focus of the neurofeedback training will be on one symptom cluster for a period of weeks or months until there is resolution, at which point the neurofeedback training will be adjusted to address another symptom cluster and so on.

The neurofeedback practitioner needs to learn a great deal about the brain to be able to work skillfully, and even then, it can take weeks to know if what one is doing is actually the "right” thing that this particular brain needs. The neurofeedback practitioner must also be skilled in watching for side effects, and typically these are only recognized when the client complains about them, at which point training might be adjusted in some way.

The NeuroCARE® Neurofeedback System

A first crucial difference is that with the NeuroCARE® neurofeedback system it is absolutely unnecessary to diagnose. NeuroCARE® simply gives the brain information about what it has just done. That's all. And it does this moment by moment, feeding back to the brain information about itself microsecond by microsecond. Because the NeuroCARE® neurofeedback system is adapting to the brain and the brain adapting in response to the information it is given, the idea of diagnosing the brain in one moment of time days or weeks before, becomes ridiculous, when the brain can obtain information about itself ongoingly.

Another crucial difference is that the NeuroCARE® neurofeedback system does NOT tell the brain what to do. The brain is simply interacting adaptively with itself moment by moment, not striving to produce "more" of some frequency and "less" of another acording to the wisdom of an outside agency (the expert). As a consequence, there are very few side effects with NeuroCARE® neurofeedback training.

At the same time, change when using the NeuroCARE® neurofeedback system is powerful and seamless. This is because, where most neurofeedback systems work with a very small subset of frequencies (theta, alpha, low beta and smr, and more frequently gamma) which NeuroCARE® had been feeding back for years. The NeuroCARE® neurofeedback system gives information to the brain across a very wide range of frequencies that Zengar has itself "discovered" and developed over a period of years and tens of thousands of client hours. In all, sixteen different sets of frequencies (targets) across right and left brain. So whether you come in with problems you want changed or for peak performance or personal growth and evolution- you get it all. Pure. Simple. Safe. Effortless transformation.
