Purchasing Your Own Computer

We offer systems for sale that are fully configured, soup to nuts, for you to successfully run Zengar NeuroCARE®. You may, however, wish to purchase and configure your own system. Here is some information to assist you in doing that.

Meet or Exceed our Specs
We cannot emphasize enough the importance of purchasing equipment that meets or exceeds our specifications.

Do Not Buy From...
We recommend against getting computers from Dell, Gateway, HP and Compaq as well as "off label" brands. These brands install massive amounts of proprietary software that is likely to interfere with the running of a high-end engineering application, which NeuroCARE® is. These systems can also demonstrate firmware problems.

Don't Buy a Custom System
We also recommend that you do NOT get your local computer store or guy to build a system for you. And we recommend against it even if you think you or your technician is very knowledgeable. The chances of having "local system issues" are much higher with these systems and in our experience, these solutions simply aren't.

Don't Buy a System Cheaper than Others in its Class
Many lower cost systems save money by using outdated or substitute components that are not Windows AC 97 compliant. In general if you find a system that is much less expensive than others in its class, the chances are high that they have used lower priced components or have not fully developed the requisite drivers. Don't buy them. This doesn't mean that NeuroCARE® won't run on a lower end system- it frequently will. We are talking about systems lower in price relative to others in their class.

Zengar NeuroCARE® fully and completely meets Windows specifications. When you try to install it on a non-compliant system it will not work. This is not a problem with NeuroCARE®- it’s the non-compliance by the hardware manufacturer that the software is bumping into.

How do we know if a system is going to work? We try them out, and you may want to also. If you can sucessfully license your software, and successfully record data, you are probably OK. Make sure you have a return agreement that if you find you cannot install and license NeuroCARE® successfully, that you can return it and try another. The higher end the laptop the more likely it is to work, because these systems are less likely to have non-compliant components installed.
