What you are choosing here, is the amplifier or "box" that collects the brainwave signals.

Don't panic! Without a clear reason to do otherwise, you would choose the "ProComp 2" bundle which has the middle choice below and skip this whole section. But just in case you are interested iin some discussion of these topics....

Infiniti® encoder Your choice will depend largely on whether you want the option of doing classical biofeedback as well as neurofeedback. We have totally droppped away from doing old-style biofeedback and NeuroCARE® does not support it,  but if you think you want that option then you will want to choose a bundle with the Infiniti® encoder. This encoder has eight channels, six of which can be used for regular biofeedback, or alternatively eight can be used for EEG (NeuroCARE® only requires and supports two). Furthermore, it can gather data up to 2048 samples per second in the first two channels. These features are not useful with NeuroCARE®, but if you want to keep your options open and don't mind the higher price tag, then the Infiniti® would be your choice. It is a compact , high quality unit and our pricing includes all the extra "bits and pieces" you need to make it work, including two external pre-amps.

 ProComp 2® encoder If you plan to use NeuroCARE® in the way it has been designed, the ProComp 2® encoder is a great choice. It is very small, lightweight and offers two channels of EEG with one preamp built into the unit. This means that a second external preamp needs to be purchased for it to function as a two-channel system (our packages include all you need). It is the most popular choice for purchasers of our software.

 Nexis™ amplifier Zengar NeuroCARE® also runs on the Nexis™ (NOT Nexus) amplifier. We do not sell this unit however- you would have to deal with Nexis directly if you wish to purchase their hardware. While we like the quality of the signal, the box itself is a heavy metal, and because of the way it is designed, needs to sit up quite close to the client which we find awkward. While it also has a rechargeable battery, this can be a problem if you have inadvertently let it run down and can't run your session (We speak from experience here!).
