Upgrade Process
The process will vary depending upon whether you are PASS™ and on MouseCalls maintenance, PASS™, or non-PASS™.
PASS™ members will receive the upgrade free. If you subscribe to MouseCalls maintenance, the upgrade and licensing will all be done for you on your next maintenance visit. You do not need to read any further!
For everybody else, it is a three-step process: Downloading, installing and licensing. Should you prefer NOT to do this yourself, we can do it for you via MouseCall! Regular fees apply. (discount for PASS members).
Downloading:
If you are PASS™ but not on the maintenance program, you can download NeuroCARE® v. 1.98 inside the private PASS™ area (at no charge).
If you are non-PASS™, you will need to order the 1.98 upgrade by submitting the order form. You will be sent a private link to download your upgrade.
Installing:
After the download is complete, save it then double click to initiate the installation process. Once this is complete reboot your system. (Please note that some new features included with the ZIN v1.98 upgrade may not be supported on older systems.)
Licensing:
1. Click on the Zengar NeuroCARE® icon to start up the program. One icon is located on the Desktop, another is in the Start/All Programs listing and the third is located in the Start Menu itself. It doesn’t matter which you use.
2. Once the program says DEMO in the upper right corner, connect your encoder, turn it on.
3. Go to Tools/Licensing and choose License An Encoder. (If NeuroCARE® cannot read your encoder check all your connections, then make certain that you are using the correct COM Port assignment. Use Device Manger to browse down to the Ports item to see where the KeySpan Adapter shows up. On most systems this should be COM 4).
4. Once the encoder is read correctly a dialogue box will pop-up showing a Site Code. Copy this code and paste it into our Site Key Request form (don't write it manually) and submit the form. You can then close down the program, restart it as you wish and explore it in DEMO mode for up to 14 days. You can playback pre-recorded Journeys (sessions) but not Record. If 1.95 is currently on your system it will continue to operate normally while you are waiting to receive your Site Key from us.
5. When you receive your Site Key, start up your system and switch on your encoder. Go to Tools >Licensing, and cut and paste the Site Key into the space provided. DO NOT attempt to enter the Site Key by hand--always cut and paste.
Note: Once you have licensed 1.98, 1.95 will cease to be active.
You can restore your client data by running the MoveNCP utility that is included in the installation. It is an EXE located in c:\zengar, which is the new APPPATH
Again, should you prefer NOT to do this yourself or need assistance during this process, we can do it for you via MouseCall. Regular fees apply. (Discount for PASS members). Non-PASS members please contact Customer Care to arrange a MouseCall.
